The Client Experience

Our biggest goal for each session is that you have fun. We genuinely believe the best client experience comes from creating an environment where you and your loved ones can truly be yourselves, have a laugh and enjoy your time in front of our cameras. We truly believe that no photograph should waste away on a computer or be relegated to sit on Facebook alone. Your photographs should be portals to precious moments that you can enjoy in your home for years to come. For this reason, we have crafted packages that bring you an immense value. You’ll not only receive time in front of the camera, our professional design and editing experience and our time, you’re also going to receive prints that hold an archival quality of 100 years or more guaranteeing that your images will span generations.

The Booking Process

Booking is simple. When you’re ready to book simply fill out our booking form. We’ll get back in touch with you to confirm that your desired session date and time are available. For Mini-Sessions the full session fee is due at the time of booking. For all other sessions and weddings, a 50% non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve your date and time. We’ll send you an invoice easily payable online, or if you prefer you can pay for your session in person during our pre-session consultation. Once that’s taken care of, your session date and time are yours and yours alone. You’ll receive a link to your own private client portal where you’ll be able to view your Client Agreement, Client Questionnaire as well as your invoice for your records. All our sessions come with a complimentary pre-session consultation, although we prefer to do this in person, we can catch up over the phone, Skype or your preferred communication method to discuss the details of your session. We’ll help you every step of the way with wardrobe, pose ideas, location ideas and incorporation of props.

What To Expect

We’re regular folks just like you. We love to laugh and we want you to feel comfortable in front of our cameras. We are big believers in having as much as fun as possible because life is short but sweet. Sessions with us usually include a lot of silly. We don’t do stuffy. Arrive for your session at least 5 minutes early (make sure little tummies have had a snack, we always bring snacks, but it helps bring out the smiles). When making your wardrobe choices for your session keep comfort in mind. If you aren’t comfortable in an outfit it will show through in your photographs. Don’t be shy of bold colors and prints, avoid anything too matchy (no all white shirts for the whole family, trust us on that one). Many of us feel utterly un-photogenic in front of a camera, don’t sweat it. I can assure you that you look smokin’ and there’s no need to worry about your imperfections when we’re working together. We’re human too, if there’s something your super self conscious about, tell us. We’ll make sure that you feel as comfortable as possible. Our biggest goal, is that in the process of capturing beautiful images for you and your loved ones, that you all have FUN and enjoy yourselves. That’s why we call it The Client Experience.

After Your Session

Few people get to see all the behind the scenes magic that goes into making your photographs the beautiful finished product you see after your session. For us, this part of the process is extremely important because it’s where we get to stretch our creative muscles and create priceless custom pieces of art for you. After your session we like to post a little sneak peak, usually on our Facebook page so that you’ll have a little something to enjoy while we prepare the rest of your photographs. Our turn around time is generally fairly fast, somewhere between 1-4 days. However please allow up to 30 days as some galleries take longer to finalize as it is our goal that the images we deliver to you are perfect. Once your gallery is online, we’ll send you a link where you’ll be able to easily view and select your digital files based on which package you chose during booking. You’ll also be able to select which images you’d like printed or made into beautiful custom gallery wrapped canvases. Digital files are available for instant download, however products and prints may take several weeks to arrive as all of our products are handmade with love.

The most important thing to remember for session day wardrobe choices is that you should definitely wear something comfortable. If you’re uncomfortable it will show in your photographs, so choose comfort first. Bold colors, striking patterns and textures always add interest and depth to photographs. [wc_accordion_section title=”How long will it take to get our photographs?”]

For regular sessions, our turn-around time is typically under one week and more often than not it’s a few days. We allow ourselves up to three weeks for regular sessions just in case we need extra time due to influx of sessions. For wedding and event coverage turn-around is typically 20-30 days, depending on our workload. We strive to deliver your images as fast as humanly possibly.

Absolutely! We are always happy to incorporate any themes, poses, props or ideas you may have for your session. We have a selection of props available, however should we need to arrange for a specific prop please try to let us know as far in advance as possible.

[wc_accordion_section title=”What if I need to reschedule?”]

We understand that life happens. The safety and well-being of our clients is extremely important. We are happy to reschedule at your earliest convenience if given at least 24 hours notice prior to your session. Otherwise, we’ll have to work with rescheduling on a case by case basis to ensure that we don’t hinder other client sessions.

In the event that the weather impedes our ability to shoot, we will select a backup date for your session at your earliest convenience.

Absolutely! We have a beautiful selection of products and high quality prints available at competitive pricing.

[wc_accordion_section title=”Where will my session be held?”]

Once we’ve decided on your desired session date we’ll go over session locations. Together we’ll choose the best location based on the type of session it is. If you’re the outdoorsy type we are always happy to trudge through any park, field or trail. Downtown/rural buildings, old doorways, steps, gardens, and playgrounds also make for great backdrops. Let us know what comes to mind for you in terms of location so we can choose the best spot to reflect on your personality and the theme of your session

[wc_accordion_section title=”Are you willing to travel for sessions?”]

Absolutely! We are currently central to the Mint Hill, NC area. But we are happy to travel anywhere. We do charge a small travel fee to cover transportation fees for areas beyond a 30 mile radius from zip code 28227.

[wc_accordion_section title=”Do you photograph pets?”]

Most definitely! We love fur babies. We are happy to accommodate any pet for your portrait session. We’ve even had a few kitty cats participate. Just let us know in advance. We always bring treats.

[wc_accordion_section title=”Can I have my photographs printed anywhere?”]

You are welcome to print your photographs elsewhere. However, we make no guarantee on the quality of prints not ordered through our professional printing lab. Cheap printing sources like Walgreens and Walmart will NOT maintain the quality and beauty of your photographs. The quality of the paper and inks used is not capable of preserving the hard work that went into composing and editing each of your images by hand. We include a print and web release with every session however we strongly advise AGAINST using printing outlets like Walgreens or Walmart.

[wc_accordion_section title=”What do I need to consider when having my children pose for a session?”]

Rule one, is that a parent must ALWAYS be present for sessions with kids. Children often make the best subjects as they tend to flow on their own so candid shots are usually some of the best when it comes to photographing children. Don’t be discouraged if your kids don’t take direction or get a little fussy. Sessions including children require patience and I’m happy to oblige. Children respond best when we highlight their personalities. So don’t hesitate to bring a favorite toy or stuffed animal, favorite hat/boots or whatever your child may be most attached to at the time. I advise plenty of sleep for little ones the night before a session and that they’ve had a snack prior to the session (I usually try to bring a few of my own to share in the event that anyone gets to feeling grumbly in the tummy.)
